Ollie Peake is one of the brightest young talents in Australian cricket and an exciting part of the Melbourne Renegades' future.

The left-hander from Geelong announced himself on the international stage during Australia's victorious ICC Under-19 World Cup campaign, making an immediate impact after joining the squad as an injury replacement. Calm under pressure and mature beyond his years, Peake played crucial innings throughout the tournament, including important contributions in both the semi-final and final.

Recognising his potential, the Renegades signed Peake ahead of BBL|15, providing the emerging Victorian batter with his first opportunity in the Big Bash. He quickly repaid that faith, producing one of the most memorable moments of the season when he struck a last-ball six in Perth to secure a dramatic victory for the Renegades.

Peake's rise has continued through the Victorian and Australian pathways, earning full contracts with Victoria and the Renegades, selection for Australia A and representative honours at international level. A technically gifted batter with a composed temperament, he has shown an ability to perform in high-pressure situations despite being early in his career.

In 2026, Peake recommitted to the Renegades by signing a two-year contract extension, ensuring he remains at the club through to the end of BBL|17. As one of the most promising young players in the country, he continues to be an exciting part of the Renegades' future and a player fans will enjoy watching develop in the seasons ahead.
