Widely regarded as a white-ball specialist thanks to his ability to open and close the bowling with pace and aggression, Richardson has been a fixture at Marvel Stadium since joining the Renegades ahead of the BBL|07 season.

It's a deal that has worked well for both parties, for he has taken 80 wickets in 54 matches and played a key role in ensuring the ‘Gades lifted the trophy in BBL|08.

Richardson is also a handy lower-order batsman and very safe pair of hands in the outfield, often taking spectacular catches on the rope and cutting off certain boundaries with his athleticism.

He has been a member of several Australian limited overs squads, and featured in his country’s World Cup campaign in England in 2019 and the last two T20 World Cups.
