Melbourne Renegades have added ACT Meteors pair Annie Wikman and Olivia Porter ahead of WBBL|12, adding one of the country's most in-form domestic batters and a powerful top-order hitter to the squad.
Renegades add ACT duo Wikman and Porter to WBBL|12 squad
Wikman, 24, enjoyed a breakout 2025-26 WNCL season, scoring 540 runs to finish fifth on the competition's run-scoring list. The right-hander's campaign included her maiden WNCL century, an unbeaten 142 off 136 balls against Victoria in Canberra.
Porter, 24, brings aggressive stroke-play to the Renegades' batting order. The right-hander made her maiden WNCL century last season against Tasmania, taking the attack to the bowlers with three sixes and 12 boundaries. She has long been known for her explosive style in the T20 format, and her unbeaten 57 against the Renegades in last year's T20 Spring Challenge showed what she can do in short-form cricket.
Renegades head coach Gavan Twining said he was excited to welcome both players to the club.
"Annie and Olivia are two exciting young players who are hungry to make their mark. Annie's consistency and the way she built her runs last season was outstanding, and Olivia has the power to change a game in a handful of overs.
“We can't wait to have them both in red and to see what they can bring to our group this summer."
The announcement comes as the Renegades launch a 2-for-1 ticket offer to all WBBL fixtures as part of the Red October sale.
