Hayley Matthews returns for WBBL|12

World No.1 T20 all-rounder Hayley Matthews will return to the Melbourne Renegades for WBBL|12 after missing last season through injury.

The 28-year-old was instrumental in the Renegades' WBBL|10 triumph, finishing the season as one of the competition's leading all-rounders and helping deliver the club its first women's title.

“Winning the championship with the Renegades was such a special experience and I'm really looking forward to being part of the group again,” Matthews said.

Renegades WBBL Head Coach Gavan Twining said Matthews' return would provide a significant boost to the squad.

“Hayley is a world-class cricketer and we know the impact she can have on a team, both with the bat and ball,” Twining said.
