Cyril & Thirsty Merc to headline Marvel Stadium Derby!

This year’s January 10 Derby will be turned up a notch with Aussie rock icons Thirsty Merc and global electronic powerhouse Cyril joining forces for a festival-style atmosphere that blends nostalgia, energy and epic stadium vibes.

In the middle of their Summer Live ‘25 Tour, Thirsty Merc will light up Marvel Stadium with tracks every Aussie crowd knows by heart like In the Summertime, 20 Good Reasons and Someday, Someday.

The ARIA-nominated rockstars have long been a staple of Australia’s live music scene, and they’re bringing a full-powered set to warm up the crowd before first ball.

Then comes the switch-up with chart-topping and ARIA-nominated producer, Cyril, returning to bring the noise under the Marvel Stadium roof during an electrifying innings-break set.

His electronic sound has taken him to festivals and headline shows across the world with hits Stumblin’ In, There She Goes, and Still Into You, which has been nominated for the 2025 Song of the Year at this week's ARIA Music Awards.

"I had so much fun playing the Big Bash innings break last year that I couldn’t resist asking the Renegades to come back to do it again.
