Renegades unveil fresh thREDs ahead of Big Bash summer

The Melbourne Renegades RED is back in all its glory, as the club today unveiled its bold New Balance playing kits ahead of the biggest Big Bash summer yet.

Front and centre, the instantly distinctive Renegades ‘R’ takes pride of place; a mark that embodies attitude, confidence and the Gades’ rebellious edge.

Crafted for performance and designed with unmistakable Renegades flair, the fresh kit also features three subtle stripes across the front and back of the playing shirt. A vintage-inspired addition, different from other clubs across the Big Bash.

And for the WBBL squad, a gold Renegades icon on the chest and WBBL logo on the sleeve pay homage to the club’s WBBL|10 Championship triumph. A subtle celebration of the reigning champions’ golden summer and, hopefully, further success as the squad embarks on their next campaign in a month's time.

Principal Partner, Liberty, the club's longest-standing commercial partner, embodies the front and back of both squads' jerseys as well as Platinum Partner, Tangerine on the chest. RMIT University and, as recently as this week, Old El Paso, will take up their place on the sleeves of the women's men's outfits respectively.

To bring the campaign to life, the Renegades hit the lights of Archie Brothers Arcade in Docklands for a bold, street-style photoshoot featuring Harry Dixon, Milly Illingworth and the recently re-signed Callum Stow and Nicole Faltum.

The arcade setting, packed with colour, attitude and energy, reflects the essence of the Renegades brand and offers a nod to the Gades Arcade presented by Carnival Cruise Line, a fan-favourite experience returning as part of the club’s matchday entertainment lineup.

With New Balance’s performance tech meeting streetwear swagger, this season’s kit brings football-inspired fashion to cricket, made to turn heads under lights at Marvel Stadium and GMHBA Stadium or just walking down the street.

The league and fans got their first look at the full New Balance range at Queensbridge Square in Southbank this morning where players from all eight Big Bash clubs gathered to launch the season’s designs.

The Renegades will wear the new kit for the first time when the Weber WBBL|11 season begins on Sunday, November 9.
