Renegades snap losing streak in Brisbane

A final over thriller secured the win for the Gades!

Here are the key moments from the Renegades match against the Heat:

Cool and calm Captain

Hayley Matthews showed off her captaincy skills last night leading the team with both bat and ball.

Moving down in the batting order proved to add a tremendous impact with her scoring 46 runs to help the Gades get to the 169 total. And with a nail-biting last over on the line, she kept calm, cool, and collected delivering 9 dot balls and holding the Heat to 167 runs.

de Broughe Shines

Emma de Broughe showed off her incredible ability with the bat, at the top of the order. Scoring 42 runs off 35 balls with three boundaries and a six to her name, she kept it steady in the middle as wickets fell and was a key player for the Gades to snap their losing streak of eight matches.

Coyte for three

Sarah Coyte continues to be a threat with the ball as she picked up three wickets in Brisbane last night. With the most crucial wicket of the night being of Grace Harris, who was at 65 runs before Coyte bowled her. She also grabbed the wickets of Jess Jonassen and Ameila Kerr to get her three-fer!

The Renegades head back to Melbourne for their final home match at CitiPower Centre on Sunday.
