Wareham crowned Renegades best after brilliant all-round season
Melbourne Renegades star Georgia Wareham’s outstanding all-round performance in WBBL|11 has earned her the club’s WBBL Player of the Season award.
Renegades members recognised Wareham’s impact, voting her most deserving of the team’s top individual honour, awarded at Thursday night's Cricket Victoria State and W/BBL Awards in Melbourne.
‘Wolf’ as she is more affectionately known, took her game to a whole new level this season, named BKT Golden Arm award for topping the wickets table and crowned Weber WBBL|11 Player of the Tournament.
Wareham finished WBBL|11 with 19 wickets at 10.94 from 10 matches, complemented by a superb economy rate of 5.47.
Her impact extended with the bat, where she broke through for a standout season, finishing more than 100 runs clear of her nearest Renegades teammate, with a total of 277 runs from nine innings at an impressive strike rate of 147.34.
In place of the injured Sophie Molineux, Wareham stepped up and was named captain of the Renegades for the first time this season, leading the side on four occasions.
This award marks Wareham’s second Player of the Season honour, having claimed the accolade previously in WBBL|09.

Big-hitting Brown claims maiden Player of the Season award
Josh Brown has been recognised for his outstanding BBL|15 campaign, taking out the Melbourne Renegades’ BBL Player of the Season award.
Renegades members voted Brown as their most valuable player, acknowledging his crucial role in setting the tone each innings with his dynamic batting, building competitive and match-winning totals.
The 32-year-old dynamo was named Player of the Season at Thursday night’s Cricket Victoria State and W/BBL Awards in Melbourne.
Brown was a key cog for the Renegades throughout BBL|15, finishing as the leading run-scoring with 311 runs at an average of 31.10, striking at 150.67.
His defining moment of the season arrived in the Melbourne Derby at the MCG on 4 January 2026, blitzing 84 off 48 balls - a knock laced with nine fours and four sixes to anchor the Renegades’ dramatic four-wicket chase of 174 in front of a crowd of 68,124 and claim the ‘Melbourne Mace’ for the first time.
Earlier this year, Brown put pen to paper extending his time at the Renegades a further two years, providing stability to a batting lineup that looks ahead to BBL|16.
