Renegades finalise WBBL|11 squad

The Melbourne Renegades have finalised their WBBL|11 squad ahead of Sunday's season opener and Final re-match.

Davina Perrin and Issy Wong's arrival earlier in the week completed the Renegades' 16-player list as the team looks to launch its campaign at Brisbane's Allan Border Field against the Heat.

Perrin, a powerful right-hand batter, and Wong, a dynamic fast bowler, are both rising stars of English Cricket and are keen to make their mark at the Renegades in a squad stacked with international quality.

The Renegades welcomed back their fellow English compatriot Alice Capsey as well as West Indian superstar Deandra Dottin. Both integral cogs in the Renegades' hopes this season in what will be their second year in red.

Among the club's domestic talent, the Renegades welcomed back Sophie Molineux and Georgia Wareham back into the fold after a lengthy World Cup campaign for Australia.

As reported on Friday, Molineux is managing a minor quad strain and will sit out of the first two games.

In Molineux's absence, Georgia Wareham will step up as captain and have the support of experienced Big Bash performers in Courtney Webb, Sarah Coyte and Naomi Stalenberg on top of Victoria trio Nicole Faltum, Tess Flintoff and Milly Illingworth.

The Renegades v Heat season opener kicks off from 1.20pm (AEDT).
