Gades name squad for 2025 Spring Challenge

The Melbourne Renegades have confirmed their squad for the upcoming Spring Challenge, headlined by captain Courtney Webb and a mix of established WBBL names and emerging Victorian talent.

The 13-player squad includes eight members of the Renegades’ WBBL|11 list and seven players from last year’s Championship-winning group, as preparations continue to build toward the new season.

Nicole FaltumEmma de BrougheSarah CoyteNaomi StalenbergCharis BekkerMilly Illingworth join Webb among the Renegades-listed players, bringing experience and balance across the batting and bowling groups.

Among the fresh faces is Tess Flintoff, who makes her first appearance in red after crossing from the Melbourne Stars during the off-season.

The squad also features a group of Victorian representatives and pathway prospects in Samara Dulvin, Olivia HenryJas NevinsZoe Samuels and Charli McLennan, each earning selection following strong performances at state and underage level.

Olivia Henry brings experience having played seven Big Bash games, while Dulvin recently returned from Sri Lanka where she captained the Australian U/19 squad.

McLellan and Nevins, who was signed as a replacement player in the Renegades' WBBL|10 campaign, replace Sara Kennedy (study) and Tayla Vlaeminck (injured) in the squad. Sophie Molineux and Georgia Wareham are unavailable due to national commitments.

The Renegades face Brisbane Heat in the first of four games in the multi-day pre-season competition held in Sydney, providing valuable match opportunities ahead of WBBL|11.
