Tangerine Dialled In With Renegades Ahead of Big Bash Summer

The Melbourne Renegades are dialling up the energy again with Tangerine this summer, renewing their platinum and major partnership across both WBBL|11 and BBL|15 programs.

The fast-growing telco, who has steadily captured Australia as a simple, no-fuss internet and mobile choice competitor to leading telcos since entering the market in 2014, will once again feature on the playing kits of both the BBL and WBBL teams.

Tangerine CEO Andrew Branson said the partnership is built on shared values.

“This is more than a sponsorship. It’s a collaboration with a club that values bold thinking, community, and doing things differently. Just like we do,” Branson said.

“The Renegades play with heart and connect with people in a genuine way. We’re proud to support that, and we’re excited to build on what we started last season.”

The announcement was made at Tangerine’s Melbourne office, joined by Renegades players Nathan Lyon and Milly Illingworth, who were acknowledged by Branson as strong ambassadors for the club and the game.

Melbourne Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten said the past year had laid a strong foundation for a partnership built on shared passion and meaningful engagement.

“It’s been great working with Tangerine over the past 12 months. From the start, they’ve brought energy, new ideas and a clear commitment to being involved with the Renegades and the Big Bash," he said.

"This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long and successful journey together. We see a lot of opportunity in this partnership, not just for the club and for Tangerine, but for our players, fans and the next generation coming through who now don't know a summer without the Big Bash.”

Tangerine will continue to be on the chest and sleeve on the BBL and WBBL playing kits respectively and have a huge presence on the Renegades’ digital platforms this summer, while they'll remain highly visible across matchday activations and member engagement.
