Boyce joined the Renegades ahead of the BBL|08 season, but has been on the domestic cricket scene since his debut for Queensland in 2010.
His cricket journey has taken him from the Sunshine State to Tasmania, but it is in recent times that he has morphed into a Twenty20 specialist.
The leg-spinner made his T20 debut for Australia back in 2014 and played a further six matches, though none since 2016.
His move to the Renegades paid immediate dividends, taking 16 wickets in 16 games, bowling more overs (60.1) than any of his teammates.
He backed that up with a team-high 14 wickets during BBL|09, including a Player of the Match winning 4-15 against the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba.
Boyce’s batting has also left an impression, scoring his highest score (51 not out) in the T20 format, while it was his dismissals of Stars’ openers Marcus Stoinis and Ben Dunk that turned the BBL final on its head.
