The 23-year-old, a four-time winner of the ACT’s Women’s Premier Player of the Year, will bolster the club’s bowling attack and provide a handy lower order batting option.
Cooke is one of five ACT Meteors on the Renegades roster.
“I’m excited to be joining the Melbourne Renegades and be a part of the WBBL this season,” Cooke said.
“It’s such a competitive league, so to get the chance to play with and against some of the best players in the world is something I’m really looking forward to.
“The Renegades have a strong Meteors connection, so it’ll be great to continue to play alongside those girls and see how far we can go this season.”
Melbourne Renegades coach, Tim Coyle, said he looked forward to welcoming Cooke to the squad’s bowling line up.
“Zoe will be a great fit for our squad,” he said
“With Tayla Vlaeminck, Lea Tahuhu, Maitlan Brown and now Zoe on our list, we feel we’ve got some strong depth in the pace attack.”
Cooke’s signing now completes the Renegades 15-player squad for WBBL|04.
“Our list for this season has come together really well,” Coyle said.
“We have a great mix of experience and young talent.
“I can’t wait for them to get out on the park on Opening Weekend and show what they can do this season.”
