WBBL team unchanged for Perth double header

31 October 2019

The Melbourne Renegades will continue with the same 13-player squad it has used for the entire WBBL|05 season so far when it travels to Perth for this weekend’s double-header.

The Renegades will meet the Perth Scorchers at the WACA Ground on Friday night at 8.40pm (AEDT) before doing it all again the following afternoon against the Sydney Sixers at the same venue.

Both matches will be broadcast live around the country on 7mate and on ABC Radio.

It is less than a fortnight since the Renegades and Scorchers last met. On that occasion, it was the ‘Gades who took the points thanks to fine batting from English pair Danni Wyatt and Tammy Beaumont at the top of the order.

It’s been a little longer since the Renegades and the Sixers last faced off, but it won’t be a result easily forgotten by the team in red. The occasion was the WBBL|04 Semi-Final at the Drummoyne Oval in January, when the Renegades were beaten in a Super Over.

But with two wins from four games in a brand new season, the Renegades will be firmly focused on leaving Perth with smiles on their faces this weekend.
