WBBL squad set for Wednesday

19 November 2019

The Melbourne Renegades will look to cement their place in the top four when they take on the Brisbane Heat at the CitiPower Centre on Wednesday morning.

Fresh off their final-ball win over the Sixers, the Renegades have made only one change to their 13-player squad.

The W/BBL Technical Committee has approved the addition of local replacement player Anna Lanning following the season-ending shoulder surgery to Claire Koski.

Lanning is no stranger to her Renegades teammates after spending last season as a member of the squad.

The all-rounder previously played 30 WBBL matches for the Melbourne Stars across the first three seasons of the competition. She is the sister of Australian Women’s captain Meg Lanning.

The Renegades enter the match in fourth place with five wins from nine games. They will face stiff competition from the Heat, who sit atop the league ladder with seven wins from 10 outings.

Entry to Wednesday’s match is FREE, while the broadcast will be streamed live on cricket.com.au and Kayo.
