Strano crowned WBBL Player of the Season

03 April 2017

All-rounder voted the season's top player for the second consecutive season

All-rounder Molly Strano has been crowned Melbourne Renegades WBBL Player of the Season for a second consecutive season.

The 24 year old played every match for the Renegades in WBBL|02, taking 21 wickets and scoring 149 runs.

"We've got a young team at the Renegades but our results are improving and we'll be looking for bigger and better things to come next season," Strano said.

"If you'd told me that I'd be in Aussie colours by the end of the season I'd have laughed at you but it has been a great few months."

Strano's best figures of 3-16 came against the Adelaide Strikers.

Her impressive WBBL performances earned her a first appearance in Australian colours in February in the T20i series against New Zealand.
