Squad named for return Derby

20 January 2021

The Melbourne Renegades have named a 17-player squad for Wednesday night’s Melbourne Derby against the Stars at Marvel Stadium.

The Renegades will be without Noor Ahmad, who has suffered a side strain and will miss the remainder of the tournament, while Rilee Rossouw has had a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury and will also be sidelined for the remainder of the BBL.

The match will be the club’s first at Marvel Stadium in 359 days, after playing matches at six different venues in six different states and territories around Australia as part of this unique BBL|10 season.

It will also give the team a chance to atone for its six wicket loss to the Stars at the MCG on Sunday evening.

Attendance at Sunday’s match will be capped at 15,000 fans, in accordance with advice from Victorian public health.

Capacity has been limited in the interests of protecting public health and delivering a safe environment for all patrons.

Tickets for all Renegades matches in Melbourne are on sale now and must be pre-purchased online for both venues. There will be no physical tickets for purchase at either ground.
