Renegades make late changes

12 January 2018

The Melbourne Renegades have made the following changes to their squad ahead of the match against Melbourne Stars.

The W/BBL Technical Committee has approved Victorian batsman Travis Dean joining the Melbourne Renegades following the departure of Cameron White on national duties with the Australian ODI team.

Dean must play in the starting XI or be selected as 12th man for the upcoming match.

The W/BBL Technical Committee approved the 25 year-old’s inclusion under the exceptional circumstances provision.

Dean scored 62 for the Cricket Australia XI against England in Sydney on Thursday and has been a regular fixture in the Victorian team.

In further news, batsman Brad Hodge will be sidelined from tonight’s match with a side strain.

Hodge will be assessed in the coming days before a more precise recovery timeline is established.

West Indian Dwayne Bravo will take over the captaincy for the Renegades for tonight’s match.
