The weekend will mark a homecoming of sorts for Beaumont, who previously played 27 Women’s Big Bash League matches for the Strikers across WBBL|02 and WBBL|03.
“I really hope this year we can go all the way with the Renegades,” Beaumont told Melbourne Renegades Media ahead of the weekend’s matches.
“For me, I just want to contribute to win for the team and to enjoy my cricket as well, and to leave a better cricketer.”
Dooley and Leeson, meanwhile, are looking to establish themselves on the WBBL scene.
A wicketkeeper-bat, Dooley was a member of Brisbane Heat’s title-winning performance against the Sydney Sixers. Last season was her first at the level, while Leeson played three games for the Sixes over the previous three campaigns.
The team will be led by first-time captain Jess Duffin, who has taken the reigns from Amy Satterthwaite, who announced her pregnancy earlier this year.
The two matches will be played across Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 2pm (AEDT) at Karen Rolton Oval. The final XI will be announced after the bat flip in the lead up to each game.
