A shining light for the Melbourne Renegades was the performance of young quick, Tayla Vlaeminck, who grabbed 4-29.
Vlaeminck who was making her Renegades debut, showed why she is one of the brightest fast bowling prospects in the country.
It was a spell of out and out fast bowling, but sadly the Renegades just didn’t put enough runs on the board.
The batting side of things never really got going for the Renegades, as the team struggled to gain momentum.
Erica Kershaw at the top of the order showed good signs as she managed to score 24 off 27 deliveries.
In a positive for the Renegades, English import Danni Wyatt will be available for the next match against the Adelaide Strikers on Saturday December 8 at the CitiPower Centre, Junction Oval.
Wyatt will bring explosive power to the top of the order as she showed for England throughout the recent WT20.
Next weekend sees a double header for the Renegades against the Strikers. Saturday will be at the CitiPower Centre, Junction oval at 2:10pm.
The second slice of the double header will see the Renegades host a match at Eastern Oval in Ballarat for the first time, with the match commencing at 2:10pm.
