The Melbourne Renegades will be out to prove their ascendency over rivals Melbourne Stars in Saturday’s game at the ‘G.

The Renegades will enter the game full of confidence after a comprehensive victory against the Sydney Sixers in Geelong on Wednesday night.

It will be another great opportunity for fans to see both the BBL and WBBL Renegades in action, with the girls kicking off the action from 2:20pm.

Access Red seating for the away MCG derby vs Melbourne Stars will be located on Level 4.

Please be advised that this is General Admission seating only, so make sure you get in early as it will be a first in best dressed basis and subject to capacity.

Champions Members seating for the Away MCG derby vs Melbourne Stars will be located in Bays N1 – N4 (See Map – highlighted in red). It’s best to enter via gate 4 and make your way up the stairs.

Please be advised that these are NOT reserved seats, make sure you get in early as it will be a first in best dressed basis and subject to capacity.


FREE TRAM ZONE EXTENDED:


Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone will be extended to stops near the MCG for this Saturday’s Big Bash League, Battle of Melbourne double-header.

On Saturday 6 January tram services from the CBD to stops 9,10 and 11 on Wellington Parade near the MCG will be free, all day, Saturday 6 January.

The Free Tram Zone will also be extended to stops 7a and 7b at Rod Laver Arena and stop 7c at MCG/Hisense Arena on the other side of the MCG to get fans from the city to the Stars versus Renegades matches, free of charge.

The extended Free Tram Zone will also spread passenger load more evenly across all transport services and get people to the venue safer and more comfortably.

While there is no parking at the MCG, Big Bash League attendees who choose to drive can park in the CBD and catch a route 48 or 70 tram to the MCG free of charge, with no need for a myki.   


A COOL CHANGE:


There will be plenty of shaded areas throughout the day to keep cool in the afternoon.

A cool change is predicted for the early evening.
