Mennie got his first taste of BBL in the Summer of 2011 when the Perth Scorchers signed him to replace the injured Mitchell Johnson. He would however have to wait until the following year to make his debut in the competition. Mennie would then go onto play with both the Hobart Hurricanes in BBL05 and the Sydney Sixers in BBL06. A handy bowler, Mennie is no stranger to taking wickets with his career best figures of 3/20 coming against the Renegades rival, the Melbourne Stars.

Runs: 251

Economy Rate: 9.65

With James Pattinson missing leaving a notable gap in the Renegades’ line-up, the consistency offered by Mennie will be an important part of the team’s bowling attack. One of the most reliable wicket takers in the Sheffield Shield, Mennie will join Chris Tremain and other recent signing, Kane Richardson to form a powerful pace attack for BBL07.
