The Renegades have won just three games this season, but Finch said the team’s young players had made strides and would benefit from their match experience in BBL|11.
“I think the way that they train is amazing, they give everything, and the talent is absolutely there,” Finch told RSN Breakfast Club on Monday.
“It just comes down to getting a little bit more match experience.
“The ability for them to keep playing against some very very good players consistently I think will hold them in good stead.”
The Renegades have had a disappointing season, with Finch saying the effort has been there but it hasn’t translated into on-field results.
“It’s been a difficult year,” Finch said.
“For the Renegades, we’ve been close a few times, we’ve been a long way off a few times. Sometimes we haven’t taken our chances in games, which is disappointing.”
“We’ve trained hard, we’re doing everything that we can off the field.
“We just haven’t quite made that transition into taking the great opportunities when they present in games.”
