It means the Melbourne Renegades will play every other side twice during the home and away season.
Cricket Australia announced the $1.182b broadcast deal with Channel Seven and FOX SPORTS today.
Channel Seven will broadcast 43 KFC Big Bash League matches while FOX SPORTS will broadcast 16 matches exclusively, and simulcast the remainder.
There will also be increased coverage of the WBBL competition with 23 Rebel Women’s Big Bash League matches each season to be broadcast on Seven and FOX SPORTS.
“The new deal marks a significant moment for the game, and the Big Bash, in this country,” Melbourne Renegades Chief Executive Stuart Coventry said.
“This summer there will be more Renegades matches broadcast into homes than ever before.
“The increased WBBL coverage reflects the growth of the competition and will raise the profile of the talented athletes on display.
“We enjoyed our partnership with Channel Ten and owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to the network for the key role they played in growing the popularity of the Big Bash.
“We welcome Channel Seven and FOX SPORTS with open arms and know that we have a great product to take to audiences around the country.”
