Cameron Boyce

Matches: 16

Batting: 146 runs at 18.25, strike rate of 148.97, high score of 51*

Bowling: 16 wickets at 24.25, economy rate of 6.44, best of 2-16

Player of the Match:
vs Sydney Thunder @ Marvel Stadium, 30/01/2019

In his first season in red, Boyce announced himself into the fold as the Renegades’ second-highest wicket taker, taking 16 wickets for the season with an economy rate of 6.44 – the fifth-best bowling economy in the league. Boyce also put on a show with the bat when it counted, including turning around the Renegades’ fortunes in their final home match of the regular season against the Sydney Thunder, with an unbeaten 51 off just 22 balls.

BBL PoTS

Dan Christian

Matches: 16

Batting: 254 runs 31.75, strike rate of 123.30, high score of 49*

Bowling: 15 wickets at 23.13, economy rate of 7.38, best of 4-20

Player of the Match:
vs Adelaide Strikers @ Adelaide Oval, 23/12/2018
vs Sydney Sixers @ Marvel Stadium (Semi-Final), 15/02/2019
vs Melbourne Stars @ Marvel Stadium (Final), 17/02/2019

Consistent throughout the season, his experience stood out when he guided the Renegades to a seemingly unlikely semi-final victory against the Sixers - thanks to an unbeaten 31 runs off just 14 balls - backed up by another Player of the Match-winning performance against the Melbourne Stars in the Final. The ultimate all-round cricketer, Christian also took 15 catches throughout BBL|08; the second-highest number taken by any individual player for the season. He now has seven T20 titles to his name.

BBL PoTS

Harry Gurney

Matches: 9

Bowling: 10 wickets at 24.40, economy rate of 7.17, best of 2-27

Player of the Match:
vs Sydney Thunder @ Spotless Stadium, 22/01/2019

Despite only coming into the Renegades’ line-up for the back-half of the season, Gurney established himself as one of the best death bowlers in the competition. He finished the season with an economy of 7.17; a phenomenal achievement given he bowled the majority of his overs either in the powerplay or at the death.

BBL PoTS

Sam Harper

Matches: 16

Batting: 341 runs at 22.73, strike rate of 139.75, high score of 56*

Player of the Match:
vs Hobart Hurricanes @ Marvel Stadium, 07/01/2019
vs Brisbane Heat @ The Gabba, 10/01/2019

Despite starting the season without a BBL contract, Harper played all 16 games as a replacement player, due to a host of players being called away for Australian duties or sidelined with injuries. He did more than just fill a gap on the team’s list however, establishing himself as arguably the most improved cricketer of the summer, finishing the season as the Gades’ top run-scorer with a total of 341 runs. He was one of just two Renegades players to score in excess of 300 runs for BBL|08.

BBL PoTS

Kane Richardson

Matches: 15

Bowling: 24 wickets at 17.70, economy rate of 7.75, best of 3-22

Player of the Match:
vs Sydney Sixers @ SCG, 16/01/2019

Richardson finished the season as the league’s highest wicket taker – two wickets ahead of his nearest rival, Sean Abbott of the Sydney Sixers – despite missing two games with injury. He also pitched in the bat, including in the semi-final when he hit two vital fours in the final over against the Sixers to propel the Renegades into their first ever BBL Final.
