Alex Doolan joins the Renegades in the best form of his career, having already amassed a staggering 528 runs at an average of 88 in the first-class arena this season.
The elegant right-hander’s recent run was highlighted by a brilliant 161 not out for Australia ‘A’ against the touring South Africans at the SCG, an innings that stamped him as a future international.
The 26 year-old Tasmanian will be looking to transfer his current momentum from the four-day format into the T20 arena with the Renegades at Etihad Stadium.
Cricket is in in Doolan’s blood. His father, Bruce, played 12 games for Tasmania as a wicketkeeper in the 1970s.
