Marcus Harris

Harris signed for the Melbourne Renegades in April 2016 ahead of the BBL|06 season after two seasons with the Perth Scorchers.

Harris joined the Scorchers ahead of BBL|04, after impressing with the Alcohol.Think Again Western Warriors set-up. An aggressive left-handed opening batsman from Scarborough in the mould of coach Justin Langer, Harris made his WA debut back in February 2011 as an 18-year-old.

The teenager broke a 115-year record for the youngest Australian to score 150 in domestic cricket in just his third Shield game. Harris was WA’s top scorer during the 2012-13 Shield season, where he scored his second first class century against South Australia. He forced his way into the WA squad for the 2014-15 Matador One-Day Cup where he scored 170 runs at an average 28.3 including an important 69 against Victoria, leading to his BBL opportunity.
