Renegades paceman Jayde Herrick dropped in to Northern Socials Cricket Club on Monday night to deliver a bagful of Kookaburra gear to the club's under 13s.

They were lucky recipients of the gear after submitting the winning image (see gallery) in the Renegades’ photo competition.

Entrants were asked to pit their artistic skills against others in the Renegade Republic by taking a creative image incorporating the Renegades ‘R’ and the team’s red colour.

After the presentation, Herrick took the opportunity to meet some of the Renegades’ young fans, sign autographs and pose for photos.

“It was great to get back in the Renegades jersey and meet some of our young fans,” Herrick said.

“These boys and girls are the future of cricket and what's more, they’re a vital part of the Renegades team. They’ve been an amazing support in season one and I can’t wait to put on a show for them at Etihad Stadium in the second instalment of the KFC T20 Big Bash League.”

The Kookaburra kit won by Northern Socials CC comprised three pairs of batting pads and gloves, one pair of wicket-keeping gloves and pads, three bats, three thigh pads and one bag.
